After graduating from Copperas Cove High School in 1999, she attended Kilgore College where she was a member of the World Famous Kilgore College
Rangerettes. She was picked to be a Swingster which was not only a huge honor but provided her with more performing opportunities and the privilege of dancing with the most experienced dancers on the team. During her time as a Rangerette, she traveled to Ireland and performed for the Ambassador at the U.S. Embassy and marched in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade. She also performed in Washington D.C. for George W. Bush at the Black Boot and Tie Inaugural Ball and marched in the Inaugural Parade. She graduated from Kilgore College with an Associate of Arts Degree and transferred to Texas State University in San Marcos.
She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas State and spent her time there involved in Alpha Kappa
Psi, a professional business fraternity. She was also a member of the American Marketing Association and Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honor society.
Since graduation, she has been living in Austin experiencing the business world. After spending briefly over a year as a Realtor, she decided that she could not find a passion for business like she had for teaching and dance. She began filling a permanent substitute position for the drill team director at Bowie High School in Austin and decided she was destined to be a drill team director. She could not be more excited than the day she got hired by Plano West as the Assistant Director of the Royales. She will be a full time teacher at the school teaching Dance 1, P.E. Foundations and the Step Team. Austin will always have a special place in her heart, but she is eager to begin her new life in Dallas! She will be continuing her dance education at nearby studios and will be attending a teacher workshop in New York hosted by Broadway Dance Center and instructed by the staff of
"So You Think You Can Dance!"
